I was going to post mugshots of Pat Ahumada published on the front page of the Brownsville Herald in 2010 after he was arrested but that's been done already and it really isn't history yet.  He is a self-made man, self-educated and he fights for the people of Brownsville and the humane treatment of animals. He's got a lot of passion for Brownsville but then again, don't we all?

Ahumada quit his first term to run for higher office.  His second term was plagued by bad publicity for which he blames his enemies -- the people he alienated during his term.  For all his accomplishments he left office in embarrassment not just for himself - but the people of Brownsville.  Now he wants to serve as our mayor again.  I admire his drive but I just keep thinking if he's elected mayor again he'll fight with anyone anywhere for any reason whether he is right or wrong and the people of the City of Brownsville will suffer for it:

"Fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice shame on me.  Fool me three times ____________."
