Cafe on E Elizabeth NOW OPEN!

Cafe on E Elizabeth ~ David Robledo Proprietor

The area is spacious and clean.
Cafe on E Elizabeth is located at 901-A E Elizabeth (right across HEB building in old Sears building) Open from 9 am to 2 pm.
I had the "Mr. Mayter" made with locally grown tomatoes from local Farmer's Market, seasoned with locally grown herbs (tyme & basil), locally made bread and cheese produced in San Benito.  It's the dash of olive oil and vinegar that add a nice twang to the taste-buds.
Some herbs so local they're grown and picked fresh from the restaurant.
Organic juices and/or smoothies are a great way to start off the day so if you're downtown try them out!  Conveniently located near the City Hall building.  Ask your friends who work downtown if they've tried out Cafe on E Elizabeth.

  2. What I like about your blog is that you really go into local history and note that Brownsville is more than taquerias and cantinas. THANK YOU for that. Please stay away from local politicos and politics that will only smear such good, history and culture oriented blog. I didnt know about the existence of this place. I know about "Hueso del Fraile" and have heard and read positive comments about the place. What other foods are served at this place? Is it iced tea on the glass?

    1. I will try to stay away from local political garbage but hope people get off their ass and vote more often. Cafe on Elizabeth just opened last Tuesday -- the menu is posted. I like El Hueso and will try to go down the line of venues and restaurants downtown to post here. Thanks for your comments. ~ JRG
