KXIQ FM 105.1

A few conceptual designs by Javier R. Garcia
I asked George Ramirez of the Brownsville Society of Performing Arts if I could volunteer a few (or more) call-sign designs for Brownsville's new radio station with an antenna on top of Lone Star National Bank on Boca Chica Blvd.  The following are a few designs just to get warmed up.
A play on the archaic use of the word "calibrate" which people like to throw out there to sound like mechanics -- which brings out another word people throw out there when someone pulls out a chart or "electrical diagram" no one these days can read but they call it a "schematic."  I know none of this makes sense.
A throwback to the days where everyone had to constantly watch their gauges and respond accordingly whether it was air for the tires or oil for the car engine. Quality was striven for and things were built to last if you took time to keep them in tip top condition such as a car or television with tubes in the back which had to be replaced regularly.  Everything had to be "perfectly calibrated".
"Elvis and groupie" was originally done-for-fun as a KBOR radio station gag
 Some font and letter customizations
More font styles that might be fun to work with.  Submit your and we'll post them here with your name and post on our Facebook page.  Who makes the best bumper stickers in town who can work with us for some ad time?  Talk to us  - leave an anonymous tip below on your ideas and suggestions for this page also.  If you tell me to F-off I wont publish that comment.  :D

We can call this one a creepy palm dagger silhouette background but I definitely want to work with that letter arrangement.  If you have a favorite font send me a name so I can look it up on dafont.com
