Every house has a history.
While browsing digitized Brownsville Herald newspapers online at the public library I came across this picture of a simple wood-frame house built in 1940.A search through a 1948 local telephone directory revealed that either the widow Todd or her late husband worked for Pan-American Airlines (PAA) and they had (2) children together. The circled "H" we can also presume to indicate the address is a "home."
Here is the house as of 10 September 2016
Frontier Lumber Co was proud to place an ad to welcome the new residents into the finished house.
If anyone knew any of the Todd children or their widow mother and what became of them maybe they can contact this blog and we will update this post with a story about a common wood-frame home built in 1940 would cost less than paying rent to own.
