In his first paragraph he alludes to the college and city as being guilty of honoring traitors. His major complaint against the city has been directed at an obscure memorial Jefferson Davis stone in Washington Park. (You can search "Jefferson Davis" for related stories about that rock in the park on this blog.) Maybe his next letter will be to criticize his employers at TSC because there is a room named after Robert E. Lee, a Civil War figure, in the Jacob Brown auditorium, which used to belong to the city but is now part of the college but this time it is our public schools he is criticizing.
"Indigenous." SJW Chicanos love this word. As far as we're concerned, it applies to native-Americans. School have opted to use noble titles such as "Warriors" or "Chiefs" rather than "Indians" or "Redskins" but that isn't good enough for the SJW.
They take offense because a handful of football fans comically dress up like Chiefs at football games.
Dennis Hopper gives history lesson of mixing of Moorish blood with Sicilian blood in True Romance (1993)
Mestizo: a mix of Spaniard and native American, and yes - a black race first invaded Spain in 711 A.D. and rape women and mixed the races. The word comes from a list or "casta" which is a hierarchical system of race classification in Latin countries. Mestizos appear above the middle with "Negroes" (Africans) at the bottom of the list. This is what the SJW draws from for his anti-racism rant. Just Google "Casta" for a Wiki list of the racist terms created by Spanish elites.
Google translates Spanish Mestizos to English. Google was created by white devil.
That makes for a very colorful history if you define who you are by where your heritage began rather than where you are today. I don't know about the reader but I am Texan (or "Tejano" - neither Mexican or full American - whatever that is). Define who and what you are but don't label yourself as a victim for what happened to your ancestors. They probably suffered; not you. If someone called you a "wetback" or "beaner" do something about it or blow it off. How you handle yourself is more important than what happened many years ago or what is happening now as a result of media fueled racism.
According to his logic, if you've read this far and your skin is white the letter is no longer for you unless you are a race traitor - a white person who sympathizes with the victimized mestizo. No, I know -- it doesn't make sense.
I am glad that during my years at TSC I had quality instruction from respected history professors who gave us the goods on what we were not taught in public school.
Most Texicans hate the Texas Ranger of the old west. They were flat out hired-assassins. I agree with the SJW here. But do I want the Ranger image removed as a mascot? No. Why? Because Rangers of today are not killing Mexicans indiscriminately; not because I don't respect my ancestors. SJW's have a method of argument which says "If you don't believe this, you believe that!" to make anyone who will listen feel guilty as if they are denying their Mexican roots.

Yes ... lots slaughtered but if I ask my older relatives they can't tell me anything but what they heard someone else say. Ask a teacher or professor of history that can look at both sides of any issue and you might find wisdom in their teaching but they should encourage you to investigate on your own rather than take their word for it.J.T. Canales is a hero to some and villain to others. Why, you might ask? Because according to some people, he fought for rights of Mexicans of this border region and founded LULAC. According to others, he was an agent of deceit working for the likes of power brokers and political kingpins Stephen Powers and James Wells who got non-English speaking illiterate land owners (heirs of large tracts of land given to their ancestors by invading Spaniards) to sign away their land for next to nothing. Again, seek the truth for yourself if you care enough to do the research.
Does anyone really care what he sees as violations after reading this far? We're almost done here....
There are many demanding change from our city. There are those that are unsatisfied that not enough change is taking place and other that are demanding change and actually working toward the changes they want by being active contributors to the city in a number of ways. What exactly does Mr Castillo want to change? No one in Brownsville ever called me a wetback or nigger-lover. I've heard that in other parts of the United States but Brownsville? -- Never. If he wants to leave Brownsville he is more than welcomed to. If he and his followers think it is a racist city they should move away. far, far away -- until they find their happy place.
That's him on the right hand-in-hand with protester/activist friend from McAllen when she was organizing Black Lives Matter demonstration in McAllen and (Castillo) in Brownsville, a day after the 3 police officers were ambushed in Baton Rouge, LA. July 2016
[He didn't really call citizens racist traitors but he is a racist-traitor himself for bringing that sh*t to Brownsville, Texas]
Here are some mascot suggestions we might like to see for schools to be built in future.
Los Tacoleros or Los Nopalitos Elementary School mascot
Texicanos also has that "Chicano" sound to it - just right for SJW's or Los Bigotes would also work with this design
The Mighty Azteca Warriors who got their asses conquered for beleiving Spaniards were Gods
Last but not least: "Mestizos" for the babosos who follow Mr Castillo's teachings
Don't hate the black
Don't hate the whiteIf you get bit
Just hate the bite
Make sure your heart is beatin' right
